Bio & Artist Statement:

Originally from Québec City, Pluie Métivier traveled west at an early age.  After falling in love with the mountains and the nature surrounding them, she found a place to call home in Canmore, Alberta, where she spent 8 years mainly focusing on painting. Her love and passion for jewellery developed from the desire to transform her painting into three-dimensional wearable objects.

Following her passion, Pluie moved to Vancouver where she attended a 2-year program in jewellery Arts and Design at Vancouver Community College. She received the Lacy West award for artistic design and graduated in 2007.
